Chapter Ten: The Secret to Life, page 177

We have a purpose, but it’s not predetermined. We have free will.
Our book of life is like a blackboard; we can go back and start again.

The parable of the talents is not about a predetermined life, merely that God gives us talents and we can choose our purpose based on those talents.

“If it ain’t fun don’t do it,” This doesn’t work at first, while we’re shunning evils, and getting rid of bad habits. And it doesn’t work with things like paying bills, etc. But it eventually works in heaven.

Joy is the serious business of heaven - C.S. Lewis

Heaven is a state where doing what we love is useful to everyone around us. “What is my joy, my ruling love, my use?”
The trick with joy is what is TRUE joy? Doing selfish or evil things won’t bring us as much joy as doing good things.
Freedom is very important.

We can work towards heaven here on earth. Life isn’t about waiting for better things. It’s about working towards better things.
Starting right now.
Today is the beginning of the rest of your life.

We are in a new era. It’s the era of the New True Christianity. A time when we can be enlightened by God. A time when freedom is supported. A time when spiritual growth becomes a priority.
